Drew + Megan | McCall Idaho Wedding Photographer

Would you believe me if I told you I thrifted this vintage wedding dress for $15 dollars? The moment I spotted it on the rack I just knew she deserved a second chance. I couldn't stop imagining the bride who had once worn it or the love story it had been apart of. How did it end up in a thrift store? Maybe I don't want to know... Either way, believe me when I tell you the dress was worn. Makeup stains, spilt wine all down the front, dirt and grime on the train... I wasn't sure it could be saved but with a lot of TLC and some help from the internet I got her looking almost as good as the day she was first purchased, whatever decade that might have been.

With the dress restored, I then dreamt up a styled shoot that felt like stepping into the pages of a classic romance novel, and no, not the smutty kind. I'm talking classic. Think Jane Austin's Pride and Prejudice, sweeping landscapes, the longing, the enduring love, and the moments that feel beautifully unscripted.

I posted my vision to my social media and found the most perfectly in love couple willing to model (shoutout Megan and Drew Hollenback). Edwards Greenhouse from Boise Idaho donated the stunning bouquet of flowers, and Jenna over at Wildflour Bakery donated the beautiful wilflower inspired cake.

This shoot tops the charts for one of my favorites. I saw the vision, chased the dream, and it came together better than I could have imagined!
